Systems Administrator

Intense Debate, creators of the world's best comment system, is looking for a part-time systems administrator.
Primary responsibilities for this technical role are to design, build, monitor, and maintain the company's web infrastructure.
Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical decision-making skills including the ability to make business-appropriate decisions and to show judgment in escalation
• Team-oriented work style demonstrated by cross-functional effectiveness in an distributed organization
• Strong ability to analyze and perform systems tuning, load testing, capacity planning and utilization tracking
• Proven ability to write and maintain operational, monitoring, and deployment documentation
• Highly experienced with the following: Linux; Apache Web Server; MySQL 4 & 5
• Building and Maintaining Highly-Available LAMP architectures
• Familiar with application and web caching concepts as well as software such as Squid
• Experienced with Load Balancing Solutions such as LVS (pulse) or hardware solutions such as F5s BigIP
• Familiar with Windows 2k/XP/Vista is a plus
• Experience working with, and managing, MSP's or Colo providers.
• Light on-call responsibilities
